Price and overview

$44.99

What it does

  • Soft serve in 20 minutes. Once a mug has chilled for 24 to 48 hours, the electric churner produces soft serve in about 20 minutes.
  • Dual-mug system. Two mugs come with the bundle, so one can freeze while you use the other, providing more frequent access to fresh batches.
  • Multiple frozen treats. Works with ice cream, gelato, non-dairy nice cream, sorbet, and frozen yogurt.
  • Mix-ins chute. A built-in ingredient chute lets you add chocolate chips, sprinkles, fruit, nuts, or cookie dough near the end of churning.
  • Compact design. The unit disassembles quickly for hand washing, and all parts nest inside the mugs for storage.
  • Eat directly from the mug. The churned treat stays in the mug, which also serves as a serving bowl.

Good to know before you buy

  • Freezing time required. Each mug must chill for 24 to 48 hours before you can use it, so plan ahead.
  • Hand washing only. The maker disassembles for cleaning but requires hand washing rather than dishwasher use.
  • Half-pint batches. This makes small quantities, suitable for one or two servings per batch.

In the box

The bundle includes two half-pint freezer mugs in aqua, the electric churner unit, and related parts that nest inside the mugs.

Who it suits

This works well for individuals or couples who want fresh soft serve on demand without much counter space, and for families wanting a fun activity around movie nights or gatherings. It is less suited to households that need large quantities at once or prefer no-churn methods, since it requires advance freezing of the mugs and active churning time.
