Bitvae UV Toothbrush Holder with Wave-to-Open Sensor
$29.99 (list price $39.99)
A toothbrush left in a humid bathroom can stay damp for hours. This wall-mounted holder from Bitvae tries to fix that with a covered two-slot cradle, UV light and a timed drying cycle. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so there’s no cord hanging off the wall.
What it does
- Wave-to-open lid. An infrared sensor opens the cover when you wave a hand about 5–10 cm away, so you don’t have to touch it with wet hands.
- UV light. Each cycle uses two UV bands (UVA and UVC). Bitvae describes the cleaning performance as lab-certified.
- Automatic 3-hour cycle. After you put a brush in, it runs a cleaning and ventilation cycle to help the bristles dry between uses.
- LED display. It shows the current mode, how far along the cycle is, and the battery level.
- Two slots, any brush. It takes manual, electric and sonic brushes. Thicker handles go in the left slot and thin ones in the right, which helps when an adult’s electric brush and a child’s manual one share the space.
- Removable tray. The inner tray lifts out so you can rinse it, which keeps residue from building up.
Power and warranty
The 1,800 mAh battery is rated by Bitvae for up to 30 days per charge, and it charges over USB-C. A 2-year warranty is included.
Good to know before you buy
- The wall adapter isn’t included. You get the USB cable, but Bitvae says to charge it with a 5V 1A adapter. An old phone charger will usually do.
- It holds two brushes. A larger household would need a second unit.
- Mounting uses a bracket and two screws, which usually means drilling into the wall.
- We haven’t tested it ourselves. The germ-reduction and lab-certification claims are the manufacturer’s. Check the details on the listing before you rely on them.
In the box
1 holder, 1 wall bracket, 2 screws, 1 UV test card, 1 USB cable, 1 instruction manual and 1 quick guide.
Who it suits
Shared family bathrooms and humid bathrooms, and anyone who wants brushes stored in a covered holder rather than an open cup. If you have one brush and a dry bathroom, it’s probably more than you need.
